yetanotherupdate.ai is a daily email digest. This page describes what information we collect from you, what we do with it, and how to make us stop. Plain English, no lawyer voice.
What we collect
At signup:
- Your real email address, so we can send you the digest.
- Your delivery time, timezone, primary track, technical depth, and AI awareness level. We use these to write the digest for the version of you who reads it.
From the digest itself:
- Which emails you open, which links you click, and which feedback buttons you press (more like this, less like this, skip tomorrow).
- The user agent string when an email is opened or a link clicked.
What we do with it
We use what we collect to write your daily digest and to figure out whether the digest is working. Engagement events (opens, clicks, actions) feed back into our composer so the next digest is more useful to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, marketers, or other companies. We do not use your data to train AI models.
We use a small number of operational vendors: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (the model that writes your digest), Netlify (hosting), and Cloudflare (DNS and email routing). Each handles your data only in service of delivering yours.
How long we keep it
- Account record: while you have an account, plus 30 days after deletion.
- Sent digests and engagement events: 18 months, then deleted.
- Server logs: 90 days.
How to delete your data
Email team@yetanotherupdate.ai with the subject line “delete me.” We wipe your account and all linked records within seven days. You can also click any unsubscribe link in a digest to stop the emails immediately; that keeps your account on file in case you want to come back. To purge everything, ask us to delete you.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Same address as above. Allow seven business days.
Cookies and tracking
On the website we use a single first-party cookie to keep you logged in if you have an admin account. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on the marketing pages to measure ad performance. We do not run analytics that profile you across the web.
In emails we use a single-pixel image to detect opens and we wrap outbound links so we can count clicks. If you read mail with images disabled, the open will not register and the digest will still work.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that meaningfully affects you, we will email subscribers before the change takes effect.
